Final Log
Weather: Clear Skies
- The Finale is Near
Days have passed since you first wound up with those strange mechanical bits in the mail. While all of you have found your respective partners, there’s still the question of “What do we do now?” in regards to the combined pieces. There are a few potential courses of action with the knowledge you have of how magic works here on the island, but the answer may or may not be what you’d expect.
Regardless, things seem to be coming close to wrapping up. For those of you who want it...maybe it’s finally time to return home. For those of you who want to stay, hopefully there's a way to do so. The only way to find the answers to these two things, however, is to start figuring things out.
Have at it.
(OOC: Welcome to your final log! We will be putting up part 2 at around 6pm EST, depending on how things go, and the final part at around 9pm. Please ping us on Discord if you need anything! Thank you!)

Alright! I think we've got our answer of how to get you folks home! It's been a long journey, huh? I need a few pairs of hands to fix these pieces onto the plane once we get 'em all put together...
But the rest of you... I think that'll be takeoff time real soon. So if you want to go on home, start packin' up and sayin' all your goodbyes! Kind of bittersweet, isn't it? Our final goodbyes... I'd like to see all you fine folks again after today, but...
Well, wishes have been doing all sorts of weird things, so that might prove me pretty wrong! I hope so!
no subject
That... How... How does this even work, exactly? Is this plane supposed to pierce through the veils of dimensions or something? And does that mean that passengers can get off at different stops?

Adelaide's still not sure if she wants to stay or leave, torn between staying in this new place to make sure that everyone else who decided to stay is okay, and going home to her regular life and everyone she knows. She packs up her things anyways, though she leaves quite a few things behind, sure she'll reach a decision eventually and not wanting to hold everyone up if she decides to leave, but... She's torn. Still. She knew it was going to be a hard choice, but she wasn't expecting things to be this hard.
Ugh.
She sits on the dock by the airport, legs dangling over the edge. Her ears and tail are drooping, and she stays quiet as she waits for everyone else to show up.]

but even outside of house ten, hitsugaya is in his regular attire. his shinigami robes are in tact, as are his sandals and his tenth division haori and all. his old furniture is lined up outside of the house. he walks, and moves to sit underneath a tree near the airport. his wolf ears can't lie, though -- they're slightly droopy.

It takes her some time to get some of the things she really wants to keep, putting the things that can fit in her backpack. She puts a few bigger things in her pockets, like the piano Minato gave her.
Eventually, Kaede is back near the airport. It feels a little strange, knowing she's going somewhere now. For most of her time here, she had planned to stay and wave everyone off as they left. But now... she's going back to Ren's world, and she'll be one of the ones waving goodbye to those that stay. It feels strange to be leaving after being set on staying for so long, but it's nice too. For once she has some hope for the future.
Still, Kaede can't help but feel sad to say goodbye to everyone here. She's a little misty-eyed as she smiles at everyone. ]

She'd love to stay, but she can't. She has to get back to her students.
Eventually, she makes her way to the airport, taking a seat nearby as she takes one last look out at the ocean. She can't stay... but she's going to miss this place.]

Oh! Goodness, did you all figure things out? Hm... yes, that's excellent indeed!
[ he says, and though he's smiling, he seems a bit sad. After all, he's spent so much time with you all these past weeks, and you've all helped him so much... Of course it's bittersweet for Tom Nook. It was his wish that brought you all here, but it seems it's your sheer ingenuity that will take you all home. ]
I do have something for you all... a parting gift, of sorts. Something to remember your time here by. Why... I'm sure you don't need something to do that, but having something physical makes it a little more real, doesn't it?
[ Your bonds are very real, it's true, but most of you are going your separate ways. So... step on up, and Tom Nook will hand you a badge. It's shaped like an apple, with stars stitched all over the body of the fruit. It has a few words on it, too: Isle Sonrisa resident, and your name is written underneath. It's perhaps not the fanciest item, but there's something beautiful about its simplicity.
Tom Nook smiles, and when he speaks again, his voice is maybe a little thick with emotion. ]
I wish you all well. And, from the bottom of my heart... Thank you.

His mind is still swimming as he makes his way back to his house. Eight weeks. He'd practically settled down, even with the knowledge it was going to be temporary. He'd built a cafe, ran it nearly every day, served coffee and curry to his new group of friends. Built friendships, likely and unlikely both. Built up, alongside the others, a deserted island into a community.
And now, it's time to leave.
Ren begins to silently pack some assorted items up, realizing with a bit of bemusement just how much stuff he's managed to acquire in just two months. Though it's tempting to take a good amount of it, he realizes that he doesn't have infinite pocket space in the real world back home, and that everything is going to have to have a place to go. The ridiculous looking swimsuit is definitely coming, and so is the maid outfit, even if he severely doubts any situation back home will come up where he'll be wearing it. The aluminum briefcase, as much as it sends a pang through his chest. Some shorts, a shirt. His Joker mask. And definitely the laptop.
That's all he really needs, but an idea strikes him. Kaede's coming with him. So why not take things for her, since she won't have anything but the clothes on her back and whatever she takes as well? And so he begins to pack some more items. An umbrella, a backpack and a messenger back. A synthesizer, so she'll be able to keep playing. A kimono, because why not? And that's about it for what's in the house.
Until he looks up at the painting of he and his fellow Phantom Thieves hanging on the wall. That gets packed up as well, and finally, the one of himself and Akechi. Ren gives the place a last lookover once he steps out before heading to his next stop.
He reaches Leblanc II soon after. The espresso machine is packed away quickly, though that's about all he needs. Leaving there is harder than leaving the house, for certain, and he wipes at his eyes before dragging himself away.
(But not before getting a piece of paper and writing down his curry recipe, for whatever new resident that may want to take over.)
Once he reaches the airport again, he takes a seat with everyone else. Looking about, seeing them here, knowing this is goodbye, he sears each face into his memory. This isn't just moving away to another town. This is goodbye forever, barring another coincidental supernatural event. Two months ago, he's had to say goodbye to his friends, and now, again. But this is goodbye for real.
And despite his relief at being able to go back to his world, it hurts.]
I'm going to miss you all. I don't think I'll ever be able to forget you all, honestly.

[ he sounds a little curious about it. they'd talked a few times but hitsugaya doesn't think they'd ever spoken about home before. he doesn't usually ask this of others but the time they got their powers back in those dreams made him wonder. ]

He has his things, and, after a little bit of thought, he's decided to take the paintings with him, too. And that recipe book he'd gotten in the mail. It had been strange, but he thinks he knows what to do with it. (Besides...he can always stand to cook more, anyway.)
He hasn't been frightened of flying since he was a child, but he has butterflies in his stomach all the same. He rather thinks he has a call to make when he gets home.
But...]
If I'm stuck as a cat when I get home, that may be awkward, [he mutters, trying to focus on that rather than anything else.]

He's said he's staying. He's said plenty of times he's staying, so while everyone starts packing up to leave, he doesn't do that at all. Instead, for the ones he's met, for the ones he's come to know...
Emporio is Hard at Work at the DIY table early in the day, but by the time people are set to leave-
He hands the ones he knows, who he's come to talk to, Gifts. "...Don't open them until you're back, okay? It's supposed to be a surprise...s...so..."
He'll miss all of them, but realistically it's not like he could follow all of them either. And he'd miss this island too, after all.
Emporio sits down quietly outside the Airport- he wants to wave the plane off once he sees it go. It's a Last Goodbye, either walking to the airport, or simply through a window.

If you're one of the people who are leaving, he'll say a polite goodbye if he doesn't know you that well, and if you're close enough to be friends (your discretion), expect to get a tales gel smacked on the back of your head. Any attempts at smacking it away will be prompted ended with a frozen arm in the midst of movement for two seconds. ]
