The Finale is Near

Days have passed since you first wound up with those strange mechanical bits in the mail. While all of you have found your respective partners, there’s still the question of “What do we do now?” in regards to the combined pieces. There are a few potential courses of action with the knowledge you have of how magic works here on the island, but the answer may or may not be what you’d expect.

Regardless, things seem to be coming close to wrapping up. For those of you who want it...maybe it’s finally time to return home. For those of you who want to stay, hopefully there's a way to do so. The only way to find the answers to these two things, however, is to start figuring things out.

[ well, thank god that's all over. ... at least, that's what he wants to say. but when he goes into house ten to pack his belongings, he seems slightly more solemn than usual. hopefully sylvando doesn't notice...

but even outside of house ten, hitsugaya is in his regular attire. his shinigami robes are in tact, as are his sandals and his tenth division haori and all. his old furniture is lined up outside of the house. he walks, and moves to sit underneath a tree near the airport. his wolf ears can't lie, though -- they're slightly droopy.

What a ridiculous experience.

[ he huffs that under his breath, but he doesn't sound all that pressed about it, either. ]

[sugooooooooi]

It was fun! I'm gonna miss everybody. But now you get to see all your other friends, right?

[toushiro]

...Yes, I do.

[ he looks up at serval, and then he rises to his feet. ]

Take care of yourself.

[sugooooooooi]

Don't worry! I can take anything with my friends. You too, okay? I bet people back home will be really happy to see you.

[toushiro]

Well, they'll need me back on-hand to deal with an upcoming threat. I guess that means they'll be happy.

[ but he very well knows that he'll come home to people who were worried about him anyway. ]

Regardless, I think you've accomplished a lot here.

[sugooooooooi]

Really? I just built some stuff and made some friends. But I guess that was what we were here for, right?

[toushiro]

[ he nods. ]

That was the point. Learning to read isn't easy, either, but you managed.

[sugooooooooi]

I'm still not really good at it, but I like being able to understand stuff all of you do.

[toushiro]

Well, you've come a long way.

[ that's like. the best compliment anyone's gonna get out of him, really. ]

You did good stuff, too! Thanks a lot! Have fun at home.

[ She can't help but smile at him. ]

I'm glad I got to meet you, Hitsugaya-kun. I hope everything goes well for you in your world.

[toushiro]

[ when he catches her smile, hitsugaya doesn't stop himself from standing up so he can approach her. he shoves his hands in his...shinigami pockets, and regards her with a nod. ]

Heading back to Japan, Akamatsu?

[ he's glad he got to meet her, too, but that goes unsaid. ]

[spiritoso]

I am. It's a different Japan than the one I'm from but... I'm excited.

[ It wasn't the outcome she expected, but Ren's world sounds nice. ]

[toushiro]

Amamiya's Japan, right?

[ he thinks about this for a moment; it's probably one without a karakura town in it. ]

Good luck to you, then. It's unlikely our versions of Japan are the same.

Yeah.

[ Her smile turns a little sad, because she knows that they probably aren't the same. ]

Thanks. It's too bad we probably won't see each other again.

[toushiro]

...Normally I'm not the idealist in these sorts of situations. However, the power of wishes here isn't to be underestimated.

[ just saying!! ]

[spiritoso]

[ That perks her up. ]

You're right! We managed to achieve a lot through wishes, so who's to say we all wouldn't be able to see each other again? If we wish hard enough, it'll happen.

house ten

[hypnowhip]

[If Sylvando notices, he doesn't say anything...at first. He's very openly lacking in his usual charm too, after all. He knows he has to go. He has his own journey to return to, and he needs to make sure that Faris is home safe. But he's absolutely sad to leave Isla Sonrisa behind too. He has made so many fond memories of this island and the friends he made on it...

But once the two of them have packed up and are about to bid farewell to their beloved house 10, Sylvando can't help but scoop little Hitsugaya up into a hug.]

Oh Hitsu darling, thank you so much for being such an wonderful friend and roommate...!

[They are like polar opposites, but Sylvando really did come to care deeply about his wolf roomie. So...it's hard to hide his tears now that he has to say goodbye.]

[toushiro]

Oi-!

[ he freezes up in sylvando's grip, but his tail is swooshing from side to side. that says more than his grumpy expression does, anyway. hitsugaya doesn't hug back, but he does, at least, offer his roommate a handful of pats to his shoulder. ]

Alright, are you satisfied now?

[ hitsugaya....... tsundere as always. ]

[hypnowhip]

[It gets a laugh out of Sylvando, though it's a sniffly one. The fact that Hitsugaya even accepted the hug makes him happy enough as it is.

He gives him a little squeeze before gently setting him back down on his paws.]

Very satisfied! [He dabs at his eyes and smiles warmly at Hitsugaya.] You are just as cuddly as I imagined you would be!

[toushiro]

Cuddly... I'm not cuddly!

[ he's so grumbly, geez. he's used to being scooped up by matsumoto, and sylvando truthfully reminds him of her. a lot. it's probably why he didn't immediately try to squirm out of the hug. ]

Tch. It's a good thing I'll be out of this body soon enough.

[ ...hopefully, anyway. ]

Are you relieved to finally be heading home?

[hypnowhip]

Oh, don't be so modest! You are absolutely cuddly!

[Sylvando he doesn't want to be cuddly...

With the teasing aside, his smile falters a little there.]

I am, yes. I've got a lot to do back home. But it's bittersweet, you know? I really do love this island, and I'm so proud of how far we've all come in making it a real hot spot!

What about you, Hitsu?

[toushiro]

Not cuddly.

[ throwing that out there one more time!!! then: ]

I have a lot to do myself. ... But I can't say I regret my time here, either. I guess.

[ ""i guess."" ]

[hypnowhip]

You guess?

[Hitsugaya's getting a good-natured headpat for that one!!]

I'm glad you had fun, though. This really did turn into a beautiful place to live, didn't it? I sure hope future residents have a good time with what we've built!
