Final Log
Weather: Clear Skies
- The Finale is Near
Days have passed since you first wound up with those strange mechanical bits in the mail. While all of you have found your respective partners, there’s still the question of “What do we do now?” in regards to the combined pieces. There are a few potential courses of action with the knowledge you have of how magic works here on the island, but the answer may or may not be what you’d expect.
Regardless, things seem to be coming close to wrapping up. For those of you who want it...maybe it’s finally time to return home. For those of you who want to stay, hopefully there's a way to do so. The only way to find the answers to these two things, however, is to start figuring things out.
Have at it.
(OOC: Welcome to your final log! We will be putting up part 2 at around 6pm EST, depending on how things go, and the final part at around 9pm. Please ping us on Discord if you need anything! Thank you!)

[She set down the wind-up Aymeric in her arms, narrowing green eyes.]
Nope, this ain't gonna do at all. Not by a longshot. [Having reached that conclusion she leaned out and pinched Ren's cheeks not quite hard enough to seriously hurt, tugging lightly into some semblance of a smile.]
Ain't allowed, by order've the Warrior of Darkness. Can't say any farewells with a miserable lookin' face like that.

Well, far from me to argue with my fellow godslayer.
[He takes a deep breath before collecting himself.]
It's just-- Two months ago, I had to say goodbye to my friends back home. More of a see you later than anything, but still. Now, here I am again, doing the same thing, but for real real. And honestly, I think I suck at goodbyes.

[There was a long list of bodies behind her, having gotten there in varying states of lacking closure.]
S'gonna be fine. We got here somehow, after all. Might just be a way to cross worlds that none of us know about yet--dunno 'f I can do much on my end, but I got someone I can ask about it a little.

[It's a nice thought. He won't cling to it, but it'd be a pleasant surprise.]
To be honest, part of me wishes I could swing by your world for a little while to help you out, if I still had my Metaverse powers there. But... No matter what happens, I think you're going to be okay. I've only known you for two months, but really, I think you're stronger than you give yourself credit for.

[Beat.]
...Actually no, Ishgard's too godsdamned cold. Costa del Sol, maybe.
