Weather: Saturday and Sunday AM - Clear skies, PM - slightly rainy

Friday night (or whenever characters fall asleep come Saturday morning), everyone on the island will be met with a mysterious dream. It’s a dream that some may find unsettling whereas others may see it as a relief -- overall though, the dream is extremely bizarre.

Everyone on the island will dream about their own worlds as they were just before they touched that mysterious floating ticket. The people, the environment -- all is still, unmoving and untouched. Everything is just as you remembered it before you arrived here, and if you choose to walk amongst the people and the places you knew...no one will move. Nothing will react.

Except one thing, and that’s a shooting star that catches your eye from up above. It makes its way across the sky, even if it’s daylight in your dream, and as soon as it fades from your vision...you wake up.

How odd.

The rest of Saturday proceeds as normal, though one will notice that on the opposite side of the island (to the southwest of the map) is a blocked off area, near the peach trees that have been planted. There’s a sign from Nook Inc on the property that reads, Reserved for Able Sisters. Interesting...wonder what’s in store for you there?

Sunday rolls around with something a little more pleasant. There’s a bridge on the lower part of the island that you can use to get across to the other side of the island. On the other side is a quaint little building called “ABLE SISTERS”. In the display window is a green dress and a pair of white mary janes; from the outside you can hear the distinct sound of a sewing machine at work.

When you walk in, Mabel is there to greet you, bright and peppy as always. There are various different outfits out for display, but if you ask Mabel, their selection is limitless. The way the process works, she explains, is that you can look through the catalogs of clothing available (minus seasonal items), sorted by item type, and place in an order for any of the items. The clothing will arrive in your mailbox the following day.

There is also a dressing room for you to try on any clothes that are currently on display. (For OOC purposes, if there is an item you really want, feel free to assume it's on display at any given time.)

Other than Mabel, however, is Sable, busy at work in the back and doesn’t even look up from her work. And in the lower left hand corner is...someone who isn’t a hedgehog.

Rather...you’ve got yourselves a cat on your hands. He's busy at work, but you might happen to catch him looking at you as you explore the shop.

[To what's probably not a surprise, she's going to grab a pink dress...

It doesn't take long to change, though Adelaide does spend a moment fussing with her hair to make sure it's not too mussed before she steps outside.

She strikes a pose!]

[ Laurent had been mulling over some other things in the catalog before Adelaide comes out and--oh!! She looks cute. ]

It definitely suits you.

[ The leggings also accentuate how long her legs are... anyway, Laurent just smiles over at her. ]

Feel comfortable in it?

[Laurent out here about to buy the whole place out.]

[She drops her arms, wishing she had pockets.]

It's super soft. [Gonna shuffle closer, and-] Touch it, touch it.

Hm?

[ Oh. Well then. Laurent reaches over to touch her shoulder to feel the fabric. It really is soft. ]

I'll buy this set for you.

[ 100% approved. ]

[Torn between protesting and accepting... Eventually, she decides to accept.]

Well, thanks.

[ The purchase has been made! And then Laurent hands the catalog over to Adelaide. ]

Alright...

[She flips through it, occasionally glancing up at Laurent and squinting.]

Man, there sure are some looks in here...

[But eventually she makes a decision.]

[ Laurent looks around to see if there are any on display. Thankfully, there are. He takes a beige jacket and black pants because those were the closest and goes into the dressing room. It doesn't take long for him to come out wearing them. ]

How does it look?

[Honestly, Adelaide thinks he looks good and probably would've looked great in anything he wore. Maybe she's just simple...]

It looks good!

[A thumbs up.]

Though I think you'd look good in anything.

[And... There she goes, just saying what she thinks...]

Anything, huh?

[ He gets the beige biker jacket and black worn out jeans to order. After that, he plucks several other items and goes into the changing room. Clothes are magical, so it's easy to change in and out of them, so it doesn't take long for Laurent to come back out, despite what he's wearing: a white ancient belted robe and an administrator hat. He has black oval glasses on his face and he's holding a folded up hanging scroll. The last two items are his own. ]

Do I look like an ancient scholar?

Yeah.

[And she means it!!

The ancient getup doesn't exactly prove her wrong. She rests a hand on her chin, looking thoughtful.]

You do. It's a very dignified look, too. You look like you know just about anything.

[She turns her attention back to the clothes on display, picking something up.]

At least more things are cute than not...

I only know things that I know.

[ Which is, well, obvious, but sometimes he wishes he could know everything. He looks at Adelaide eyeing the kimono before going back into the dressing room to dress back in his normal clothes. After coming out, he walks over to where she is. ]

Why don't you try that on?

What sort of things are that?

[She hums, nodding, before stepping towards the dressing room.]

Alright.

[And she'll step into the changing room, and presto! Dressed with no hassle. She steps out, in the middle of pulling her hair up into a bun because it just feels more fitting than having her hair loose still.]

[ Laurent doesn't have an answer to the question. Instead, he wanders through the store when Adelaide goes to change and brings over a pink flashy hairpin. When she comes out, he flicks it over to her head, and ta-da. Hairpin acquired. ]

The epitome of elegance is here.

[ He means you, Adelaide. ]

[How mysterious...

She jumps at the flick, and blinks a little bit when the hairpin is just... There. The magic of this place is wild.]

I don't know if elegant is a word I'd usually use for myself.

[But she's flattered!! And blushes... Sighs.]

I'd use it for you. Isn't that enough?

You look beautiful.

[...]

...Yeah. I think so.

[Stop... Making her blush so easily!!]

Thanks you. I- Just. Yeah. Beautiful, huh.

[ Do you want him to crank out his mental thesaurus because he can-- ]

[Do you want her to die.]

[ Laurent laughs a little and smiles his usual smile over at her. ]

But you look great. Do you want this one too?

How many things are you planning on buying?

[How loaded is he...]

But it is pretty cute...

Maybe half my earnings?

[ He's kidding. ]

They do have a lot of interesting things here though, so I don't see why not. I don't do much else with the bells anyway.

Well, make sure to spend some of that on yourself.

[Mhmm...]

But, yeah, I guess that's fair... There's weirdly little use for currency here? We're not even charged rent.

Of course, but maybe Nook would feel bad for making us pay rent when most of us didn't want to be here in the first place.

[ A landlord with a conscience... what a rarity. Laurent adds the kimono to the order and pays for everything. ]

Buying things from this store also means I can finally sell off the clothes I actually don't like as much as others.

Maybe... He does seem the type.

[He's a good tanuki, she thinks, just doing his best.]
