Weather: Saturday and Sunday AM - Clear skies, PM - slightly rainy

Friday night (or whenever characters fall asleep come Saturday morning), everyone on the island will be met with a mysterious dream. It’s a dream that some may find unsettling whereas others may see it as a relief -- overall though, the dream is extremely bizarre.

Everyone on the island will dream about their own worlds as they were just before they touched that mysterious floating ticket. The people, the environment -- all is still, unmoving and untouched. Everything is just as you remembered it before you arrived here, and if you choose to walk amongst the people and the places you knew...no one will move. Nothing will react.

Except one thing, and that’s a shooting star that catches your eye from up above. It makes its way across the sky, even if it’s daylight in your dream, and as soon as it fades from your vision...you wake up.

How odd.

The rest of Saturday proceeds as normal, though one will notice that on the opposite side of the island (to the southwest of the map) is a blocked off area, near the peach trees that have been planted. There’s a sign from Nook Inc on the property that reads, Reserved for Able Sisters. Interesting...wonder what’s in store for you there?

Sunday rolls around with something a little more pleasant. There’s a bridge on the lower part of the island that you can use to get across to the other side of the island. On the other side is a quaint little building called “ABLE SISTERS”. In the display window is a green dress and a pair of white mary janes; from the outside you can hear the distinct sound of a sewing machine at work.

When you walk in, Mabel is there to greet you, bright and peppy as always. There are various different outfits out for display, but if you ask Mabel, their selection is limitless. The way the process works, she explains, is that you can look through the catalogs of clothing available (minus seasonal items), sorted by item type, and place in an order for any of the items. The clothing will arrive in your mailbox the following day.

There is also a dressing room for you to try on any clothes that are currently on display. (For OOC purposes, if there is an item you really want, feel free to assume it's on display at any given time.)

Other than Mabel, however, is Sable, busy at work in the back and doesn’t even look up from her work. And in the lower left hand corner is...someone who isn’t a hedgehog.

Rather...you’ve got yourselves a cat on your hands. He's busy at work, but you might happen to catch him looking at you as you explore the shop.

[She leans against the counter, quirking a brow at him.]

But, hey, if you ever want more they're not too hard to make.

Then would you be my personal sweets supplier? That doesn't sound so bad, but I might get addicted.

[ He unwraps another piece and instead of eating it, he holds it over to Adelaide and presses it against her lips. ]

[She blinks a bit, before opening her mouth. She was not expecting Laurent to want to feed her.]

[ Adelaide will eventually accumulate a lot of knowledge about Laurent because he does things like this without warning. He pushes the caramel into her mouth when she opens it and withdraws his hand. There it goes. ]

I always preferred these over chocolate. It's too bad, since they seem to dominate preferences.

[She takes a moment to chew, head bobbing in understanding after a moment.]

I get it. My favorite candy are mints - like, you know, those circle ones with the colorful swirls or lines?

[Even though she'll admit caramel and chocolate aren't bad.]

The peppermint ones are a classic.

[ Hm... ]

If you could, would you buy an entire pack of peppermint candy canes for yourself during the holiday season?

I've done that every year since I moved out.

[A soft laugh.]

That's the best part of being an adult, being able to do stuff like that.

Hm, I did try buying an entire cake, but unfortunately, I'm not a big eater.

[ That was a Bad Decision. ]

Luckily, it was ice cream cake and I just had ice cream cake as dessert for the next week or so. Sometimes supervising yourself isn't enough to prevent you from making horrible decisions as an adult.

To celebrate or just because you could?

And... Yeah, but that's a part of the learning process. Lord knows I've done some stupid things since moving out on my own.

I hope you're prepared to tell a story, because I want to hear it.

[ Tell him all about it, Adelaide, while he munches on some more caramel pieces while they both stand in the kitchen. ]

Only if you tell me one too. The ice cream cake doesn't count.

[Should they... Should they go sit down... Just standing in the kitchen is kind of weird, isn't it?]

But we probably shouldn't just stand around like weirdos. What if someone needs the kitchen?

[Just gonna start shooing him out of the kitchen and to a chair. Because there is one because having a layout you can't make up on the fly is for scrubs.]

Sure, and for the record, the cake was just because I could.

[ Laurent sits down on the chair, with his back straight, decent posture and all. ]

Lay it on me.

[That's as good a reason as any.

She takes a seat across from him, crossing her leg over her knee and looking thoughtful.]

I got lucky and didn't really have any sort of... Domestic disasters because I already knew how to do most of that stuff, but... Let's see.

[She closes her eyes and prepared for judgment.]

The first time I put gas in my car I got distracted, forgot to take the pump out, and nearly ripped it off driving away.

[ Laurent slowly blinks at being told Adelaide's story. ]

How do you...

[ ??? ]

[She crossed her arms, puffing out her cheeks and going red.]

Shut up. I was on the phone, and there was an emergency... I was like 18 and had been driving for a month, okay.

[ Laurent would have quipped about not being on the phone while refilling gas, but if it was an emergency... well... he can let it slide. ]

That must have been a very urgent emergency for you to forget about the nozzle. Wouldn't gas still leak?

[The silence probably speaks for itself.]

...Did you know vampires have really sensitive noses?

Did you ward off a vampire when you came back from the gas station?

[ Laurent can't help but to laugh, because yeah. Gas stinks. ]

He wouldn’t let me in the house. We had an entire conversation with me standing in the driveway on our phones.

[To this day, she still feels kind of sorry.]

That's unfortunate... I imagine having a very sensitive nose would be awful, especially in a modern civilization.

Though, it's not your fault.

No, the gas thing was totally my fault.

And honestly it’s probably not as bad in modern civilization as it was back in the day, depending on where you were. At least in modern cities people don’t dump their toilet water in the streets.

Now they just dump them in natural bodies of water instead.

[ Unfortunate either way. ]

Hm, I suppose it would be my turn then? I don't think I have many personal stories to tell, but I did hear funny ones from others.

I’ve heard some witches can make it just disappear but I’m not sure how true that is.

[There’s a balance that needs to be kept so she doubts it, at least.]

C’mon, there has to be something stupid you’ve done... But I guess secondhand stories are fine.
