Week 7
Weather: All Week - Clear Skies
- A New Week
It’s the week of the event, and now’s your chance for any last-minute preparations! The entertainment area is coming along just fine with the new chairs and decorations and the lineup of musicians ready to put on a concert for everyone. A concert is the perfect way to get someone like K.K. Slider’s attention, surely! Furthermore, with a library underway, the bottom left hand area of the island is coming along nicely.
Tom Nook’s announcements are all about the event, too. You have a big weekend coming up, after all!
“Hello, everyone! Thank you all for your hard work with the event these past few weeks. We’re not done yet, but I’ve gone ahead and copied all of the flyers. Orville is helping me mail them all out to residents all over, so we’ll hopefully have a great turnout to the Isle Sonrisa concert this weekend! Now…
“For more preparations, I’d urge you to consider food for the event as well. Perhaps today may be too early to start preparing anything, but as K.K. Slider will be here on the 15th, maybe Friday evening would be a good time to do so. Oh-! Speaking of food…”
Tom Nook will turn towards Ren with a smile on his face. “I went ahead and added a few little bits to Cafe Leblanc. I thought it might be a popular spot this weekend, so I went ahead and added more tables and chairs for people and added some wooden plank flooring for you! Yes, yes -- er, if you’d rather me take away these changes, I can do so, but I hope you do enjoy them.”
Then, he’ll turn back towards the rest of the group: “Ah, the only other thing I have for you is a little Q&A for our island residents! I thought that our visitors would enjoy getting to know those responsible for putting on such a fantastic event and creating such a nice island. Normally I’d ask you to write it on a piece of paper, but… I thought it’d be fun to do this over messaging so you can all learn more about one another, too! Assuming you all don’t know enough about one another already… Of course, if you’d rather it be private, then you can submit it to me personally in writing.
“I’ve sent the questionnaire to each of you in a group chat. Please give me your answers as soon as possible.”
The questionnaire is as follows:
What would you do with 10 Million Bells?
What do you like most about Isle Sonrisa?
If you could describe all of your fellow islanders (as a group) in one word, what would it be?
Name one of your favorite Isle Sonrisa memories.
Is there anything you want to say to all of your other islanders?
--
For anyone checking the bulletin board, there are a couple of requests, just like when Snake asked you all for items! One is from Raymond:
I don’t like to think of myself as too picky, so anything that would be at home in an office is good for me. Printers! Plants! Fax machines! Coffee makers! The sky is the limit... I think.
Another is from Audie!
Thanks bunches!
Possible Objectives
1. Fill out the questionnaire
2. Do the quests for Raymond and Audie
3. Any other last minute event preparations
Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday / Friday

[ Because I totally forgot, let's say Laurent invited Minato to specifically come over to house 8 on this particular day for that hagakure ramen that he requested. He's had to prepare so much that if Minato actually doesn't come, he thought about giving away the food to other people.
But he knew Minato would come anyway. It's what he wanted, and he suspects ramen is his favorite food.
There's a little log table and log benches as always. He makes it look like a picnic area like next to the window of his room. He has several pots full of broth, a container full of noodles, and the toppings Minato mentioned off to the side. There are two bowls of each sample.
Smells really good. If you drool, you're gonna have to clean that up. ]

[ After eating with Minato, Laurent goes to check out the performance theater and plays a song on the piano here and there to check out the acoustics of the area. He deems it okay and if you're passing by or curious to see him yourself, he'll call out to you: ]
What kind of piece would amaze you right off the bat upon hearing it? Or would you like to play it with me on another instrument?

[ Laurent hits a few keys on the piano, but stops. ]
I don't compose, so it'll probably have to be a cover of something already made.

[ Though, from listening from the radio often, he doesn't really think so. ]
Maybe something emotional... something that could inspire someone. Do you know any songs, Serval?

[ How about-- ]
What about using the frying pan?
[ Yeah, Minato told him about it. ]

{Sonico was around to do the same thing, bringing her microphone and amp to try it out.]
What are you good at?
no subject
[ lol
Though Laurent looks pretty confident anyway. ]
I can follow along if you give me a tune.

[Sonico clears her throat, and starts humming!]

Hit it, Sonico. ]

How long did all of this take...
[ Ramen should be eaten fresh: it's the one lesson he learned from school, and he goes ahead and slides down the length of the bench so Laurent can sit next to him. ]

[ ... He won't tell Minato the actual prep time, especially with how much effort he spent into making the noodles. Either way, he sits down next to Minato. The first one up is with salt broth! It's very light. There are even some cut lemons on a plate off to the side on the table to help with the smell. ]
Though I'm pretty confident that you can down all this anyway.
[ He won't forget the spicy ramen competition... ]
no subject
Mm. Just woke up from a week long hibernation, so I'm pretty hungry. Gotta stock up for the next round, too.
[ Which will take place right after this meal. He picks up a lemon slice and chomps on it like an orange. Sour things are supposed to stimulate the appetite or something, maybe. ]
no subject
A literal food coma... Let me know if it isn't to your tastes or if it tastes off.
[ Since Laurent doesn't know what hagakure ramen actually tastes like... He starts eating. ]
no subject
Two bowls go by with zero comment, the same with the third. ]

No commentary? Or should I try to find hidden messages in the way your wings and tail move?

I think a piece that you feel best represents you would be amazing. [ An elbow drops onto the length of the piano, cheek settling in his palm as ears flicker forward despite the curved horns atop his head. ]
no subject
That sounds like a rather tall order for someone like me.
no subject
You think so? I think even a favorite should be fine.
no subject
Something along those lines. Perhaps they're like the words that Laurent doesn't want to let out into the air. ]

Once the song comes to a fade does he break the now silence with a voice of curiosity. ] Would you say that's your favorite? Or "you"?
no subject
Would it be too pretentious if I said it was like a me in the past?
