Week 7
Weather: All Week - Clear Skies
- A New Week
It’s the week of the event, and now’s your chance for any last-minute preparations! The entertainment area is coming along just fine with the new chairs and decorations and the lineup of musicians ready to put on a concert for everyone. A concert is the perfect way to get someone like K.K. Slider’s attention, surely! Furthermore, with a library underway, the bottom left hand area of the island is coming along nicely.
Tom Nook’s announcements are all about the event, too. You have a big weekend coming up, after all!
“Hello, everyone! Thank you all for your hard work with the event these past few weeks. We’re not done yet, but I’ve gone ahead and copied all of the flyers. Orville is helping me mail them all out to residents all over, so we’ll hopefully have a great turnout to the Isle Sonrisa concert this weekend! Now…
“For more preparations, I’d urge you to consider food for the event as well. Perhaps today may be too early to start preparing anything, but as K.K. Slider will be here on the 15th, maybe Friday evening would be a good time to do so. Oh-! Speaking of food…”
Tom Nook will turn towards Ren with a smile on his face. “I went ahead and added a few little bits to Cafe Leblanc. I thought it might be a popular spot this weekend, so I went ahead and added more tables and chairs for people and added some wooden plank flooring for you! Yes, yes -- er, if you’d rather me take away these changes, I can do so, but I hope you do enjoy them.”
Then, he’ll turn back towards the rest of the group: “Ah, the only other thing I have for you is a little Q&A for our island residents! I thought that our visitors would enjoy getting to know those responsible for putting on such a fantastic event and creating such a nice island. Normally I’d ask you to write it on a piece of paper, but… I thought it’d be fun to do this over messaging so you can all learn more about one another, too! Assuming you all don’t know enough about one another already… Of course, if you’d rather it be private, then you can submit it to me personally in writing.
“I’ve sent the questionnaire to each of you in a group chat. Please give me your answers as soon as possible.”
The questionnaire is as follows:
What would you do with 10 Million Bells?
What do you like most about Isle Sonrisa?
If you could describe all of your fellow islanders (as a group) in one word, what would it be?
Name one of your favorite Isle Sonrisa memories.
Is there anything you want to say to all of your other islanders?
--
For anyone checking the bulletin board, there are a couple of requests, just like when Snake asked you all for items! One is from Raymond:
I don’t like to think of myself as too picky, so anything that would be at home in an office is good for me. Printers! Plants! Fax machines! Coffee makers! The sky is the limit... I think.
Another is from Audie!
Thanks bunches!
Possible Objectives
1. Fill out the questionnaire
2. Do the quests for Raymond and Audie
3. Any other last minute event preparations
Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday / Thursday / Friday

Do you ever feel like an alien?
[ Laurent tilts his head slightly to the side after swallowing. ]
Maybe when I saw you for the first time, on top of the airport, with your dragon-like tails, wings, and horns... if I had a more overactive imagination, perhaps I would have thought you were an alien that migrated from a fairy tale.
no subject
[ That's the closest Persona he can relate his appearance to, looking at himself in a mirror. Not an alien, but a demon. ]
But I never felt like an alien... That doesn't feel any different from feeling human, does it?
no subject
[ Take Laurent, for example, who's no longer human, but still acts like everything is normal as if that part of him doesn't exist. Though, he did tell Minato that he wasn't, so-- ]
Rather than being alienated, it felt like being forcibly included into something you didn't want.
[ :) ]
no subject
Hmm... That's tough. It's sorta like... I want to want to. But I don't. So it's weird. Do you feel like that?
no subject
[ Once upon a time, Laurent didn't want to be anybody either, but then he decided that he needed to be somebody in order to live--even if that is what other people decide for him and he still can't figure it out on his own what he's wanted to be instead of something out of necessity. He's a teacher, a dealer, a translator, a friend, a swindler, some weird guy who keeps bugging Minato to hang out with him-- ]
Another way of feeling something like that would be... this place, I suppose. It's not like anyone made initial plans in coming here and for how nice it is, it's tempting to want to stay, but at the same time, I don't want to.
no subject
[ There's probably a term for this but it's escaping him, the constant feeling that all of this is just the calm before the storm and shit's going to go down when they least expect it. His entire life's been shitstorm after shitstorm and there's no way he can sit around at the beach watching the stars and not be restless. Ever since he arrived here, he constantly felt like he needed to get out of here, like the end of the world is a much more comfortable situation to be in than this. ]
no subject
[ Like Minato using his full name under that starry night with such anger that it felt like the illusion was forcibly snapped in half. ]
You've been mentally preparing for something bad to happen, yet it never comes... you feel restless and anxious for something that doesn't ever arrive.
[ He finishes his own bowl of ramen. The 'end' is pretty important, huh... ]
Though I'd like to think I made some good memories here anyway, and that's something I can take back home with me.
no subject
[ Being here, in this island of limbo that he can't foresee and end to, it's miserable for him. Like all through December where time stretched on with the weight of the end of the world constantly pressing down on them, the feeling just build up worse and worse until the day finally came. Even if it's complete and utter destruction, there is catharsis in the end. ]
I hope, when you look back on all of this, that you cry. I hope it touched you that much. Otherwise... you haven't made the most of what you could here yet.

If Minato is the one who loves people and would rather not be involved with them, Laurent is the one with sheer apathy towards most people he gets involved with, all the while plastering a smile on his face.
The same smile isn't here as he sits, pondering on Minato's words. He gazes into the empty noodle bowl as if it could give him the answers, but as all empty noodle bowls do, it stays still in silence.
He has his answer. ]
Have you ever gone skydiving, Minato?
no subject
[ Does that count... Aigis caught him anyways, so he didn't get much of a chance at either flight time or the crash landing.
Finishing up his bowl, he reaches for number eight, and fills one for Laurent too, sliding it in front of him. ]
Dying on a full stomach's supposed to be more painful, but nobody wants to die hungry. Eat your fill, and then we can go.
no subject
How long can you carry someone in the air?
no subject
Two minutes.
[ It's too bad he doesn't have access to his other Personas who could fly and carry them both with no problem, but I, a fool, never gave Minato his Evoker as a regain so too bad for him ]
no subject
I want to skydive over the ocean. If I temporarily end your exhaustion for a minute, do you think you can fly longer?
no subject
[ How are you going to end his exhaustion, Laurent never told Minato anything about anything ]
no subject
It's going to be something like magic, 100% drug-free.
no subject
Okay. We can take the seaplane out to the middle of the ocean. And I'll fly straight up and drop you.
no subject
[ Laurent smiles over at Minato. You're going down with him. ]
Is there a new seaplane that you can make use of?
no subject
[ WHAT HAPPENED WHEN I WASN'T LOOKING AT VELLA, HEY!!! ]
no subject
[ Though Laurent is talking about the seaplane they kept using until the third week. ]
no subject
Oh... I guess... I had stopped thinking about it once I focused on being able to fly through my own power. I didn't even notice.
no subject
It's alright. You had a goal you were so committed to that you stopped thinking about it.
[ Anyway... ]
It won't be a problem without it though, right?
no subject
...Pork bone base, chashu, bamboo, kelp, bonito.
[ That's his final verdict as he stands up and stretches to keep from falling straight into a coma nap before he can get Laurent into the air. Or fall asleep during. ]
no subject
Are you going to carry me in your arms or should I cling onto your back?
