The Final Week
Weather: All Week - Clear Skies
- Mystery Mail
With the event coming to a close, you may be thinking, “What now?” It seemed like Tom Nook really wanted you all to host KK Slider for the sake of going home, but you’re still here. You’re still on Isle Sonrisa. Although...the event did bring you Gulliver, and that in turn brought you those mysterious parts and messages you got in the mail this morning. Could this be a step closer to getting back home? Maybe so, but there’s only one way to find out.
Before you begin, though, Tom Nook has a few words to say for his announcements.
“Everyone, thank you so much for your hard work these past few weeks. We were able to bring KK Slider over and in turn, we’ve been receiving dozens of applications for new residents! Er, granted, I can only take so many of them until we get all of you home -- well, those of you who expressed wanting to go home, anyhow -- so I’ll be busy this upcoming week. Wilbur, Orville and I have been trying to reach out to people to try to help you find your way home, and our friend Gulliver mentioned he sent parts over to you all, yes? Do let me know how that goes! Ah, and there’s one other thing I need to take care of myself, so if you need me, I’ll be in my tent for the rest of the week.”
He doesn’t specify what that specific thing is, though. Ah, well. That seems to be the end of his announcements: Short and to the point. He seems a little stressed and busy what with the application intake, so perhaps your time is better spent figuring out the mystery behind what you received in the mail.
Your next steps will be important, after all. The end is near; how will you get there?

Fitting together three parts sound tricky, though. I'm not even sure what mine's supposed to be.

Dokja says the part he received has two open slots, so it may be worth trying out to see if ours fit.

Where should we meet?

[Once she has confirmation from both Jude and Dokja, Byleth heads on over to Resident Services.
She's turning the part she got over in her hand as she gets there.]

When Byleth hands over her piece, he offers his hand to Jude for when he wants to hand over his piece. Once he's able, he'll see about fixing them both inside the atlas-sized one that he has himself. ]
I heard most were pairs so, interesting how we got three of us here.

I guess there's an odd number of people on the island...?
[ He hasn't exactly counted. As for his contribution, he hands over a long cylindrical object, vaguely vial-like in shape. ]
I thought it might be some sort of container, but I don't know much about machinery.

[And Byleth hands over a piece the size of her palm, shaped sort of like a lily.]
I don't know a lot either, admittedly. I hadn't really seen much in the way of machinery before coming here.

[ A notable difference of how many people there was at the start. However, it doesn't bother him. After all he believes they just found a way back home sooner than them.
For now, as they discuss, he's taking the two pieces to align to the two open slots of his own item. Continuing to talk as he does. ]
I'm by no means an expert either but it seems like a simple puzzle for the most part.

What they're left with when the light fades is...unique. It's a rather tiny piece, one that's around 6 inches in width and 4 inches in height. It's a black rectangle that seems to have some sort of screen on it. It looks like it's missing its other half, what with how there seems to be a slot on one side for something to slide and click into place; and a few weird-looking plugs sticking out of it. It's definitely meant to connect to something else. ]
