Weather: Clear skies all weekend

On Saturday, there’s nothing new or unusual. It seems like the wish granting has been put on hold, and your efforts can continue to go towards progressing the island more. With the museum, Able Sisters, the entertainment area, the garden and more, the amount of development Isle Sonrisa has gone through is crystal clear when you compare it to your first week here.

All seems to be normal. That is, until you decide to fall asleep.

Whenever you begin to dream, your dreams are very vivid and reminiscent of the time you all dreamt about your homes. This time, however, you see your fellow islanders around you. Everyone may look confused, trying to figure out where they are. And that’s entirely fair, because where you are now is a little different from the island you’re used to.

That power you felt earlier in the week feels strong, too. It feels natural. And when you channel your energy…

Those of you who had powers originally will feel them start to manifest. Every ability you had is coming back. They seem a little...dampened, though, like they aren’t the full extent of what you could do before. Those who did not have abilities before will start to feel in tune with whatever’s on their person, whether it be a shovel, a bug net, even a stack of apples… You’ll be able to use them in ways you couldn’t have before.

And maybe you’ll learn how to use that new ability soon, because someone is waiting on top of one of the ledges, staring down at all of you. And he is staring very, very intensely at you. A moment passes, and then he hops down...and swings his net at the nearest person.

Strangely, if the target is you, it doesn’t hurt. You feel the boink land, but it doesn’t hurt at all. Should you choose to retaliate, no matter what you do, the boy does not seem to be in pain either. Now’s the time to experiment with your newfound (or returning) abilities. Mess around with the environment, or go ham on one another! The strangest thing is that you will feel your energy draining the more you use your powers -- which is to be expected -- but the pain never really settles in.

Furthermore, there are no injuries or blood. In fact, every punch, every kick, every impact looks cartoonish!

The last notable thing is for Joonghyuk. If he looks up at the sky at any given moment, he’ll specifically see a shooting star fly across the sky. The wish to have strength is going a little haywire, but it’s certainly something, isn’t it?

As for Sunday, well… It’s worth mentioning that those abilities aren’t just a dream after all. In fact, you feel as though you can use them in real life, too, with the same effect -- the environment can be altered (for instance: super strength means you might be able to lift a tree with your bare hands, with some work) but there are no injuries or pain when you use them on others! … But the strange boy from that dream is nowhere to be found. Huh. Wonder what that was about...

[Well, as soon as he sees that message, he has to go check it out. Ren makes his way towards the northern part of the island, already seeing the flames from a distance.

He gives a wave as he approaches, whistling while looking at the fire.]

That's the prettiest bonfire I've ever seen. And wait, is that a motorcycle?

[turntoashes]

Yeah.

[So pleased. So stinking pleased.]

That's Detroit.

[Yes he named it.]

That...is seriously, unfairly awesome. I'd ask how it works, but I'm going to bet it's beyond me. You can ride it like any old motorcycle?

Yeah, though back home I usually have it leave fire in its wake, mostly because it just looks cooler.

You must be the talk of the town with that. I mean, not that you aren't already, from what you've told me about yourself.

[He chuckles before noting the little dragon flying around too, smiling.]

I can use fire as well now, but it's nothing like this.

[To be honest, Ren's shocked that he still has his Metaverse powers back on the island, outside of the dream.]

Yeah, well.

You can use fire?

I can, thanks to one of my personas. It's not exactly the most graceful like your powers are, since it's just used to attack enemies, but... Here, let me show you.

Throne!

[In a flash of light, a large creature appears behind Ren, floating there. A quick glance around, and Ren spots a nearby tree stump.]

Agidyne!

[The persona shoots out a blast of fire, setting the stump into flames. Soon after, it disappears in another flash of light, and Ren turns back to Lio with a grin.]

[Okay, first:]

What the hell was that!?

A persona. [Pause.] Personas are...complicated to explain, but ultimately, they're beings I'm able to summon to help me in battle. I can't exactly do it willy nilly back home in the real world, but there was a dimension called the Metaverse where I was able to. It looks like after that dream last night, I've got some of my Metaverse powers back here, too. Weird, but... Kind of neat.

[turntoashes]

...alright. What was that one in particular?

[He'll accept summoning demons, he's heard weirder. But that thing was weird!]

That one is called Throne. He's able to use a few fire attacks, so I thought it was appropriate here.

[turntoashes]

...huh. That didn't look like any throne I've ever seen.

[jokersonyou]

Well, he's not actually a throne, just called Throne. I'm not the one who came up with their names.

[turntoashes]

So...you can't name the things that live in your head?

[jokersonyou]

I mean, I guess I can just nickname them whatever, but I don't know if they'd respond to those. I've summoned so many persona, having to actually name all of them would be a huge pain in the butt.

[turntoashes]

Fair enough.

What else can you summon?

I think I can only access a few right now. That includes my very first persona, though... I'm pretty fond of him.

[Even if he did pretty quickly shove him in a guillotine.]

Arsene!

[Behind Ren appears another persona, a tall, classy af looking figure who has no shortage of badassery.]

[turntoashes]

[Okay, that's badass.]

And you...fight with them, or something?

[jokersonyou]

Correct. They fight alongside me. My other friends who also fight with me only have one persona each of their own, but my circumstances were....different, for better or worse. Definitely handy, though.

[A nod, and Arsene disappears in another flash.]

I must've used dozens over the course of my time fighting in the Metaverse. They're not exactly...all awesome looking, but they do their job.

[turntoashes]

It's still cool. It's still your powers.

[But Arsene beats Throne in a fight any day let's be real.]

...have I shown you my armor?

[He knows he hasn't, but whatever.]

[jokersonyou]

Nope, not yet. Lay it on me.

[He's definitely intrigued by Lio's powers.]

[turntoashes]

[Lio, perhaps a bit alarmingly, goes to stand almost in the bonfire. He doesn't burn, though; if anything the fire sort of moves towards him like liquid, covering him from head to toe.

When the fire dissipates, Lio stands before Ren.

Or really stands over Ren. His armor gives him a good foot or so.]

Hooooooooly...

[Well, that's something he didn't expect. The size, at least. Ren looks up, giving a whistle.]

Look at you.

[turntoashes]

[The faceplate melts away to show Lio smiling.]

It wasn't really needed with the fire, but it kept people from seeing our faces. Also it just looks cool.

[And this five-something shorty likes to be tall]

[He doesn't blame him. Ren's no shorty, but he definitely wouldn't have complained if his Joker outfit made him taller.

(Though that'd probably only be possible with heels, and he's not sure how well he can fight in those.)]

It looks very cool. Just the right amount of intimidating.
