Weekend 5...?
Weather: Clear skies all weekend
On Saturday, there’s nothing new or unusual. It seems like the wish granting has been put on hold, and your efforts can continue to go towards progressing the island more. With the museum, Able Sisters, the entertainment area, the garden and more, the amount of development Isle Sonrisa has gone through is crystal clear when you compare it to your first week here.
All seems to be normal. That is, until you decide to fall asleep.
Whenever you begin to dream, your dreams are very vivid and reminiscent of the time you all dreamt about your homes. This time, however, you see your fellow islanders around you. Everyone may look confused, trying to figure out where they are. And that’s entirely fair, because where you are now is a little different from the island you’re used to.
That power you felt earlier in the week feels strong, too. It feels natural. And when you channel your energy…
Those of you who had powers originally will feel them start to manifest. Every ability you had is coming back. They seem a little...dampened, though, like they aren’t the full extent of what you could do before. Those who did not have abilities before will start to feel in tune with whatever’s on their person, whether it be a shovel, a bug net, even a stack of apples… You’ll be able to use them in ways you couldn’t have before.
And maybe you’ll learn how to use that new ability soon, because someone is waiting on top of one of the ledges, staring down at all of you. And he is staring very, very intensely at you. A moment passes, and then he hops down...and swings his net at the nearest person.
Strangely, if the target is you, it doesn’t hurt. You feel the boink land, but it doesn’t hurt at all. Should you choose to retaliate, no matter what you do, the boy does not seem to be in pain either. Now’s the time to experiment with your newfound (or returning) abilities. Mess around with the environment, or go ham on one another! The strangest thing is that you will feel your energy draining the more you use your powers -- which is to be expected -- but the pain never really settles in.
Furthermore, there are no injuries or blood. In fact, every punch, every kick, every impact looks cartoonish!
The last notable thing is for Joonghyuk. If he looks up at the sky at any given moment, he’ll specifically see a shooting star fly across the sky. The wish to have strength is going a little haywire, but it’s certainly something, isn’t it?
As for Sunday, well… It’s worth mentioning that those abilities aren’t just a dream after all. In fact, you feel as though you can use them in real life, too, with the same effect -- the environment can be altered (for instance: super strength means you might be able to lift a tree with your bare hands, with some work) but there are no injuries or pain when you use them on others! … But the strange boy from that dream is nowhere to be found. Huh. Wonder what that was about...

[ Though Laurent might be meaning that in jest. Maybe...? He has a smile, but it doesn't quite reach his eyes as usual. ]
Though I do think even imaginary friends have secrets they can't tell you.

[ Dokja will smoothly move past the lack of books. Please. He's not going insane. Actually, it's the opposite. He hasn't felt his head so clear the past weeks than it is now. ]
I have a particular skill that I managed to regain from home. [ ⸢Kim Dok Ja⸥ ] Despite how mad I look, I'm talking to it.

[ Laurent looks around. If it's a summon, he doesn't see anything. Maybe the summon is ghost-like and Laurent isn't able to see it. ]
It looks like it's either an intrapersonal-type or you can talk to ghosts.

[ ⸢It's peaceful here, would it be the same back home?⸥ Dokja relaxes further in the bench, hands coming together over his lap. ] You can say it acts like a mental barrier.
How are things with you? [ Curiously, his gaze flickers over, watching him steadily as though looking for a sign. ]

[ Well, Dokja won't force it out of him if he doesn't want to discuss it. ]
There's not a whole lot I can tell you, if because I don't really know it myself. [ Partly true. ] I can say it thinks it's a bad idea to talk about it but it also believes we won't remember any of this when we return back home.

Sorry, I'm sure you'd like a more clear answer but it's literally like talking to a wall sometimes with it. [ ⸢Yo u wo uld n't li ke my an swer any ways.⸥ Maybe. ⸢Kim Dokja, as much as he wants to return home, does not want to forget his time here too.⸥

[ Laurent has a small, wry smile. ]

[ However, despite everything he's said, he doesn't seem affected by it himself. ]
It thinks that we'll all forget. But, most world-lines haven't met me and know how stubborn I can be. I won't let it be that easy. Just, don't freak out if you suddenly get saved by a couple of strangers, okay?

[ To Laurent, Dokja really does feel like the guy who just defies all logic to get what he wants as long as he truly wants it. That's really... an amazing kind of guy that perhaps, Laurent wishes to be one day, but doesn't have the motivation that has long died out due to ravages of apathy over time. ]
I'll get stationary that stands out so much to the point you'll just have to remember me by that alone.

Will it be something that matches your taste? Or something especially gaudy that I just could never forget even if I wanted to? [ A small laugh leaves him, growing only briefly quiet. ] If something is happening to you with your own abilities, you're free to tell Joonghyuk-ah and I. You don't have to face it alone.

[ Laurent smiles a little--when asked what kind of stationary he would like, he wouldn't have an answer. He doesn't have a keen eye for art in that category nor preferences in that sort of thing. Though... he doesn't deem as important to tell. ]
I hope this isn't permanent.
[ As contrary to many others' opinions, because he understands that their powers would make them whole. However, for Laurent, it just feels like an additional burden. ]
My main reason for wanting to stay here was because powers seemed to be under lock and key. However, if this ends up being a permanent development...
[ Laurent gets out a normal tennis ball from his pocket and lightly tosses it up in the air. However, before it lands, it stops moving midair as if it's frozen in time. He ended its projected path of movement. ]
... then time will pass with me in this state and I might as well live with being a Concept forever.

[ Which implies they're in a way closer to home. Dokja isn't sure what that means when it concerns returning home.. but it's a lot closer than what it was before.
Of course, he leaves that thought at that. Focusing instead on that tennis ball tossed up and never making that return. His head tilts, looking back to the island. ] At that rate, it won't matter whether you stay here or return home.
[ Except that if he's back home, Joonghyuk and Dokja can still try to save him. ]

[ It's a complete 180 from his answer when he first came here. Laurent takes the tennis ball that's frozen in midair after releasing the "end" function on it to make it regain movement. ]
Regarding abilities, I think that's the same for me. I'm my home world's "end" function, not this one--yet I can act as if I'm this world's function too. I wonder what this means for all of us.
[ Laurent does understand Dokja's implication of how returning to their home world seems a lot closer, but it's not just one or two worlds--there are many worlds. Other than the disappeared former islanders, he wonders if the worlds would collide. ]
Hopefully nothing too catastrophic.

Hopefully not. But, whoever is in charge of this particular world-line likely wouldn't make it that easy. [ A hand lightly taps at his head, in reference to his earlier skill. ] It gets tired quite easily so it might have to do with how our powers are being returned.
So try not to worry too much. [ Of course, if something were to try and stop them from returning home.. with Dokja's current abilities, he won't hesitate destroying whatever it is. ]

Though, worlds can be ruined even without special powers. I'd say all it takes is a good old fashioned manipulation at the bare minimum.

[ A brow raises, smiling a little. ] In a way but you can try. No promises on whether it will respond back, and you'll just have to take my word on what it says.
