Weather: All Week - Clear Skies...?

A New Week

Another Monday is here, and that means another round of weekly announcements. You haven’t had any strange dreams since that odd one on Friday evening, but some of you can’t help but feel something…familiar stirring up inside of you. Some kind of energy, some kind of power…

But before you can think too much on it, your train of thought is interrupted by Tom Nook’s voice booming over the speakers again, as per usual.

“Good morning, everyone! Happy fifth week on the island, yes, yes! I have a very special announcement for you today, and that’s that the museum will be open starting on Wednesday! We are currently detailing where to lay out the plot, and you will see another construction area tomorrow. We’ll most likely have it near Able Sisters for ease of convenience. I’m very pleased with our two new establishments!”

He claps delightedly to himself. Tom Nook seems very pleased with how the island is coming along so far!

“Next, please give a warm welcome to our new neighbor, Raymond! Raymond is working as the Able Sisters’ accountant, though he is a little confused about the number of clocks in his house… Ah, but I digress. I’m very happy that we’ve filled up all three of our villager plots!”

Snake, Audie, and Raymond...what an interesting trio. One who enjoys working on his muscles, one who loves fashion, and one who crunches numbers.

“And finally,” Tom Nook continues, “while I don’t have much for you all this week, I am curious about something. I’d like to know how the Meteor Shower went for all of you! It was your first one, no? I hope your wishes will come true!”

Little does he know...some of them already have. Perhaps they will continue to, too, throughout the week.

After the morning announcements, you may notice that there has been a new posting on the bulletin board. Upon closer inspection, the new posting is from no one other than Snake himself!

His posting is as follows:

Hey hey! I’m CRAZY excited about living here on Isle Sonrisa, where the biggest attractions are my biceps! I wanna build up my muscles even more, so can you help me with something?

I want as many barbells as I can get! Yep, no limit, just give me everything you’ve got! You know where to find me, and I’ll give anyone who gives me a barbell a special surprise! Thanks!

P.S. If anyone wants to arm wrestle sometime, give me a ring! I’ll be right there in a jiffy!

[ Laurent was passing by and sees that Sylvando is having problems with gardening--more specifically, the watering cans breaking on him. Laurent absolutely feels that when he waters his own vegetables in the garden, and he decides it would be best to help out. ]

I don't have a recipe for a better watering can, but I have a different idea.

[ He gets out an entire kitchen island that includes a sink from his pocket and a classic pitcher. He's very careful with the items not interfering with the garden, but having it close enough so that they don't need to walk all the way to the river to get more water. ]

Hopefully this will make do. The sink works.

[ Even if it's in the middle of nowhere. Yeah. The world is amazing. ]

[Sylvando turns upon hearing Laurent.]

Oh, Laury! [Laury.] Hi! Any help would be a life-saver, real--

[...and then Laurent pulls out a damn kitchen island like it's absolutely nothing.]

I... [He stands, gobsmacked for a moment. Then he just laughs. This world is something else.] Of course it will! A bit overkill, but I'm certainly not complaining! Thank you so much, darling.

[ Laurent is fine with it, seeing as to how some of his friends back home sometimes called him "Laurie" for fun. If anything, there's a bit of nostalgia with that nickname. ]

Anytime.

[ You know what's better than one pitcher? Two pitchers. Laurent pulls out another one, fills them to the brim with water by using the sink and hands one over to Sylvando. ]

What are you planting?

[Oh no, that's so wholesome... Hopefully it's a good sort of nostalgia.

Hell yeah, pitchers!! Sylvando sets his flimsy watering can down in favor of the pitcher.]

Veggies! [He turns to continue watering.] I received a few packs last week, so I thought I'd give gardening a go. My flowers have been doing fine, so hopefully these make it too.

Did you receive some sort of care package?

[ He eyes the ground where Sylvando is watering and helps out by watering the spots Sylvando isn't working on. ]

And what kind of seeds are they? I wonder if they're special.

Something like that! It happened a few days after the meteor shower, actually... I woke up to a bunch of things at my house! Bells that I ended up putting toward a bridge, along with veggies and fruits to plant.

[His tone gets a little dreamy as he continues, flashing a grateful smile in Laurent's direction for the assistance as he does.]

I talked to Tommy-dear about it, and he really got me wondering if it had something to do with my wish for Isla Sonrisa's prosperity.

[ It's nice to hear that Sylvando put the care package to good use, since Laurent has been very thankful about that bridge. His attempts with a vaulting pole haven't been good... ]

That the shooting stars really do grant wishes? It could be a possibility... you're already contributing to a lot.

[ To Laurent, it looks like a mix of magic and effort put into making the wish to come true, but the former is rather interesting to hear about. ]
