Weekend 4
Weather: Saturday and Sunday AM - Clear skies, PM - slightly rainy
Friday night (or whenever characters fall asleep come Saturday morning), everyone on the island will be met with a mysterious dream. It’s a dream that some may find unsettling whereas others may see it as a relief -- overall though, the dream is extremely bizarre.
Everyone on the island will dream about their own worlds as they were just before they touched that mysterious floating ticket. The people, the environment -- all is still, unmoving and untouched. Everything is just as you remembered it before you arrived here, and if you choose to walk amongst the people and the places you knew...no one will move. Nothing will react.
Except one thing, and that’s a shooting star that catches your eye from up above. It makes its way across the sky, even if it’s daylight in your dream, and as soon as it fades from your vision...you wake up.
How odd.
The rest of Saturday proceeds as normal, though one will notice that on the opposite side of the island (to the southwest of the map) is a blocked off area, near the peach trees that have been planted. There’s a sign from Nook Inc on the property that reads, Reserved for Able Sisters. Interesting...wonder what’s in store for you there?
--
Sunday rolls around with something a little more pleasant. There’s a bridge on the lower part of the island that you can use to get across to the other side of the island. On the other side is a quaint little building called “ABLE SISTERS”. In the display window is a green dress and a pair of white mary janes; from the outside you can hear the distinct sound of a sewing machine at work.
When you walk in, Mabel is there to greet you, bright and peppy as always. There are various different outfits out for display, but if you ask Mabel, their selection is limitless. The way the process works, she explains, is that you can look through the catalogs of clothing available (minus seasonal items), sorted by item type, and place in an order for any of the items. The clothing will arrive in your mailbox the following day.
There is also a dressing room for you to try on any clothes that are currently on display. (For OOC purposes, if there is an item you really want, feel free to assume it's on display at any given time.)
Other than Mabel, however, is Sable, busy at work in the back and doesn’t even look up from her work. And in the lower left hand corner is...someone who isn’t a hedgehog.
Rather...you’ve got yourselves a cat on your hands. He's busy at work, but you might happen to catch him looking at you as you explore the shop.

I don't think you'd have to go anywhere actually- which is probably good if you're on shift right now...hang on...
[He digs out his phone, pulling up the network.] Is just making a post on this okay? [He'll even show the screen.] I hope mister Nook can build it the way you like. The other houses have looked pretty unique so far...

Sure, that's alright. You have a network here and everything?
[ What an incredible place......!! ]
NETWORK...GO!
[It's time to
hassletalk to a cat on the internet, apparently.]There is someone here who is considering moving to the island! He works at the clothing store right now. I'm letting him use my phone so that you can say hello to him.

Laurent. A pleasure.
Having a home on the island would definitely cut commuting time if you're planning to work at the clothes store for a while.

That's my thought exactly. You must have a great mind. I'm hoping your other friends will agree. By chance, do you know what kind of furniture you all put your heads together for?
[ He might be a Smug personality, but at least he's not Snooty. ]

You wouldn't happen to have office-themed things, would you?

As far as furniture goes, log-based isn't a bad look.
[ There's a joke here to be made about scratching posts, but he's not going to do it because it doesn't occur to him. ]
I'd be glad to take that den chair off your paws, though.

Laurent really would make a joke, but he wouldn't want to offend someone who wants to live here right off the bat. ]
Sure thing. Since you work at the clothes store, I'll drop it off there. If you need anything else, please let me know, such as more log-based furniture, whether that be chairs, tables, beds, and more. I'll be glad to help out.

[ Laurent can't see it, but Raymond is smiling a heck of a lot! What nice people he's talking to.... ]

[ It's definitely cheesy, but he means it. ]

What are they like?

I also like music. If I do say so myself, I'm not bad at rap.
