Week 7
Weather: All Week - Clear Skies
- A New Week
It’s the week of the event, and now’s your chance for any last-minute preparations! The entertainment area is coming along just fine with the new chairs and decorations and the lineup of musicians ready to put on a concert for everyone. A concert is the perfect way to get someone like K.K. Slider’s attention, surely! Furthermore, with a library underway, the bottom left hand area of the island is coming along nicely.
Tom Nook’s announcements are all about the event, too. You have a big weekend coming up, after all!
“Hello, everyone! Thank you all for your hard work with the event these past few weeks. We’re not done yet, but I’ve gone ahead and copied all of the flyers. Orville is helping me mail them all out to residents all over, so we’ll hopefully have a great turnout to the Isle Sonrisa concert this weekend! Now…
“For more preparations, I’d urge you to consider food for the event as well. Perhaps today may be too early to start preparing anything, but as K.K. Slider will be here on the 15th, maybe Friday evening would be a good time to do so. Oh-! Speaking of food…”
Tom Nook will turn towards Ren with a smile on his face. “I went ahead and added a few little bits to Cafe Leblanc. I thought it might be a popular spot this weekend, so I went ahead and added more tables and chairs for people and added some wooden plank flooring for you! Yes, yes -- er, if you’d rather me take away these changes, I can do so, but I hope you do enjoy them.”
Then, he’ll turn back towards the rest of the group: “Ah, the only other thing I have for you is a little Q&A for our island residents! I thought that our visitors would enjoy getting to know those responsible for putting on such a fantastic event and creating such a nice island. Normally I’d ask you to write it on a piece of paper, but… I thought it’d be fun to do this over messaging so you can all learn more about one another, too! Assuming you all don’t know enough about one another already… Of course, if you’d rather it be private, then you can submit it to me personally in writing.
“I’ve sent the questionnaire to each of you in a group chat. Please give me your answers as soon as possible.”
The questionnaire is as follows:
What would you do with 10 Million Bells?
What do you like most about Isle Sonrisa?
If you could describe all of your fellow islanders (as a group) in one word, what would it be?
Name one of your favorite Isle Sonrisa memories.
Is there anything you want to say to all of your other islanders?

For anyone checking the bulletin board, there are a couple of requests, just like when Snake asked you all for items! One is from Raymond:
I don’t like to think of myself as too picky, so anything that would be at home in an office is good for me. Printers! Plants! Fax machines! Coffee makers! The sky is the limit... I think.

He's been thinking things over ever since he'd had that conversation with Kaede about her world, and about her fate. But as much as he'd tried to come up with any ideas, the fact of the matter was that he himself didn't have the power to change things. But maybe Tom Nook knew a way. Or at least had a better idea than him.
Once everyone has dispersed, he makes his way over to Tom.]
Hey, um... Well, first, I definitely want to thank you about the additions to Leblanc. It's going to be a huge help. But there's something really important that I wanted to discuss with you.
[He takes a deep breath.]
So, uh... We've all been taken from different worlds, yeah? Something brought us here. Your wish, I guess. And some wishes here are coming true, too, or we're seeing pictures and... Okay, let me get to the point. I want to find a way to briefly cross to another world, and a slightly earlier time in it. If not, then I want to take someone here back to my world instead of her going back to hers. Do you have any idea, any idea at all, of how I can do this?

[ He's pleased Ren appreciates the additions... but the second part gives him pause. A thoughtful one, but a pause nonetheless. ]
Hmmm... I'm not quite certain about how to cross over into another world, myself. In truth, I'm still not sure about the method of getting you all back to your worlds quite yet....
[ He puts a paw to his chin, and he seems a little discouraged for a moment before he nods. ]
But should I figure that out, I will certainly do what I can in order to make that happen for you, yes, yes. Regardless, I am sure taking someone home with you should not be an issue, but the time travel... that is a much more complicated matter, I think.

I have to save her, you know?
[Ren's already lost someone close to him. Someone he still can't help but feel he could have still saved somehow, if he'd just tried harder. He doesn't want it to happen again.]

It seems they've all granted a wish he didn't even realize he'd had. ]
I understand, Ren. [ He nods, and while he usually tries to keep things upbeat, he says this with an air of gravitas the situation demands. ] Yes, I will do what I can to ensure that you can take your friend back... especially if she is very important to you.

Thanks. I mean it. You've done a lot for us, even if we got swept up here without our consent. It's been a good place for the time. And at the very least, it's given her another chance.

It's the very least I could do, yes, yes. It may have been my wish that brought you all here, but I do want you all to be taken care of and find happiness. Or, perhaps... because it was my wish.

It truly means very much that you said those things, Ren. [ He pauses and nods to himself. ] It seems we've all helped each other, then, hmm? And the hard work you've all shown while being here.... Hmm, yes, I think that has inspired me, as well!
