Weekend 3
Weather: Saturday and Sunday AM - Clear skies, PM - slightly cloudy
Saturday rolls around, and the long-awaited fashion show is finally here! To the right of the resident services building is a long, white carpet that runs the entire length of the resident services area. There are studio lights set up behind each chair, creating a theatrical atmosphere. On each side are lines of white chairs, though the two closest to the microphone at the top of the runaway on both sides have flower crowns on them to indicate the guests of honor. There are enough seats for everyone on the island (including Tom Nook and his crew), and there isn’t any assigned seating. Anyone’s free to grab any chair they’d like.
Label herself is standing at the microphone, and she nods at everyone when everyone’s been seated.
“Hello, everyone.” She gives an encouraging smile to everyone. “I’m glad you all came. Welcome to Isla Sonrisa’s first ever fashion show. We’re hoping you have a good time, too; we’re all looking forward to seeing what you have to show off. First, though, I’d like to introduce you to the other judges.”
Seated at a table are three others: a blue hedgehog; another hedgehog--this one, dark red; and… a wolf? That’s a wolf for sure, with a pair of sunglasses perched atop her head.
“I’d like to present Mabel--” She gestures to the blue hedgehog, who smiles brightly and widely and waves with both paws. “--Sable,” Label says, gesturing to the other hedgehog, who seems much shyer, but no less pleased to be here. “--And Audie,” Label says, and the wolf waves and smiles brightly--it rivals Mabel’s own smile!
“We’re all very pleased to be here, and we hope you’ll have fun today. Good luck to all of our participants.”
Despite her slightly subdued demeanor, she smiles encouragingly again, and takes her seat next to Audie, across of the other two hedgehogs!
After the introductory speech, the fashion show begins. K.K. Disco plays from the speakers, and Mabel calls up each contestant one by one to walk down the runway and strut their stuff. It’s a fun fashion show, and Mabel, Sabel, Audie and Label are all writing down their notes on what appear to be score cards.
Once everyone’s had a chance to strut their stuff and the judges have had a while to deliberate, Mabel returns to the microphone and clears her throat.
“Wow, everyone! You all had some really incredible outfits! We really love what you all brought to the runway, and we have our winners! In third place is… Emporio! Your suspender outfit really looked snappy! In second place is Sylvando! That summery look really captures the spirit of the season.”
She pauses, as if for dramatic effect.
“And finally, our winner... is Zeke! Your bathrobe was a little unconventional, but it combines fashion, function, and comfort! Congratulations to all our winners, and please make sure to pick up your prizes from our table!”
Those prizes are: First place, an item from Label's fashion line and 10,000 bells. The runner-up receives a voucher worth 5,000 bells. The third place prize is a voucher worth 2,000 bells. Everyone who participated gets 1,000 bells!

On Sunday, there's a celebration of the fashion show at Resident Services! There are tables set up with refreshments -- sweets and desserts of all kinds -- and a water cooler with drinks. Balloons sit on each corner of the area, and there's music playing in the background. The Able sisters and Audie are there by the time you arrive.
Audie seems to be wandering around outside of the party at times, looking at the homes and admiring the trees and decorations scattered throughout the island. She seems very curious about the island and may have a couple of questions for anyone who approaches.
Mabel and Sable seem to be discussing something of importance. There's a lot of nodding, a lot of glancing up and around the island, and then there's a delighted smile on Mabel's face at some point. She may also have some questions for you all, too, when she and Sable are done talking.
Otherwise, feel free to enjoy the party and continue your business on the island as always!

[ Gingerly, fingers curl around that scarred hand in his own, guiding him to follow as he takes a few careful steps back. At least there's somewhat of a crowd so they aren't two idiots standing around looking ridiculous. Would Dokja say he knows how to dance? No. Is he about to make a fool of himself and look ridiculous while trying? Very likely. ]
And the judges may very well decide Han Sooyoung in a bathrobe is the winner just like Zeke. [ It gets a laugh. Really now. A bathrobe? ] Are you afraid of a little dancing, Yoo Joonghyuk?

But it twists again at the mention of Sooyoung in a bathrobe. That's a poor choice of a winner, in his honest opinion. ]

He keeps their hands still held together but brings his free to carefully rest on his companion's shoulder. ]
I may as well learn. Maybe some day the kids will ask us to dance with them. [ Whether it be Yoo Joonghyuk's sister, Shin Yoosoung, heck maybe even Lee Jihye. It would be good to be able to teach on the chance Gilyoung asked him too. ] Unless you don't want to.

He fixes Dokja's hand placements and slots his hands where they should be as someone to follow. He'll lead by forcing Dokja to lead. ]
If you want to dance with them, then you need to learn how to lead.

[ Nothing like.. training, preparing her in case a battle was upon them. He does blink in surprise at the change of their positions. ..He isn't wrong. He'll have to lead but it doesn't stop his chest from tightening as his hand settles in its new spot. ]
..If I step on your feet by accident, I'm sorry in advance. [ Don't kill him for it, thanks. He's staring at their feet almost immediately, brows knitting together. Uhhh.. He should be moving first then? Almost awkwardly, he starts with moving his right foot forward and attempts to do a box. Help? ]

[ Shut up, Dokja? He tells her stories and cooks for her whenever they catch a break! Just not everyone can see that. When Dokja attempts to lead, Joonghyuk follows him with his left foot backwards. ]
Are you planning to waltz clockwise or counter-clockwise?

[ If Dokja is able to get Joonghyuk to share, he'll ask. Because he's right, though he may have read moments, he hasn't seen it for himself. He's curious of the Yoo Joonghyuk he has yet to see for himself in person. His left foot is already moving as he answers him. ]

[ His time with his baby sister is Sacred and he doesn't want to tell the tale when Dokja is learning how to dance with two left feet. Maybe if Dokja begged a bit, he would reconsider. ]
Focus on your steps. Once you can complete a box four times, we'll start rotating ourselves while making a box.

My steps, right... Wait. Rotating? We're gonna rotate? [ How is he gonna focus on doing a box while also rotating?? He's distracted by this info he gracefully steps on his own foot.]

[ So Dokja can learn from watching. But, Joonghyuk does help reposition and with a look of concentration Dokja's back to looking at his feet. Okay. Box first. One foot at a time, step by step. At least he manages to do a box without any issues after that.
Which, as Joonghyuk suggests, he manages to do it four times without another fumble. If he puts his mind to it, it isn't too hard to catch on. He had to react just as quickly during the scenarios after all. ]

[ The comments are to be expected. When it comes to cooking, to training.. Joonghyuk has always been that sorta way. Like a backseat driver. But now comes the issue of where.. does he look then. He starts with a step forward and finds his eyes meeting Joonghyuk's own gaze.

[ It obviously makes sense to rotate the same way they're moving in the box shape right? But eyes widen a little as if suddenly caught off guard and his tail sways nervously. ]

However, it eases quickly as he now focuses on muscle memory. ] What about something more recently? [ After all, Joonghyuk was glaring quite scarily at him earlier. ] I wasn't sure what Laurent had been planning when he asked me to keep you occupied the other day.
[ His expression rests without a single tick giving off he may be lying. It's technically the truth, he was just as surprised when he saw Yoo Joonghyuk was part of the fashion show until it. Well, dawned on him as to how. ]
