[Well, this sure is happening. This sure is happening a lot. Thankfully(?) it all happens so fast that by the time that Faris is even really aware that he's no longer in the same place he originally was, he's safely deposited in the sand. Different sand. After all, there isn't an ocean anywhere near the Celestial Sands.
Immediately after arrival you can find Faris staring out at the ocean in surprise. It looks like he might be considering actually heading a little closer to the waves... and that's about when he notices the strange new additions in the form of orange cat ears and a very fluffy matching tail.
The noise he makes is not at all dignified and is more akin to a high-pitched squeak than anything else, but after a moment he manages to glance over at you, you unfortunate person who made the mistake of being nearby.]
What is the meaning of this!? What is going on here? Why do I have a tail?
[And also ears, which are pushing back and... knocking his hat off... there it goes........
Anyway, eventually Faris has calmed down. Given the current situation, panicking isn't going to do any good. So he's... doing his best. Right now that involves exploring. He's found Resident Services and is just sort of staring at the speakers out front in a mild state of alarm. If you happen to approach, Faris gestures to them.]
Do you recognize this? I'm not sure what to make of it.
[Thankfully, Tom Nook is here to answer some questions and hopefully get everyone settled and not cause everyone to riot. Of course, since this seems to be our home away from home for awhile, that means Faris is off to go find food. Starving to death sounds like a terrible idea!!
The problem with this is that there aren't many apples on the ground. Sure, he can gather a few, but there are many more up in that tree...]
It should be easy. I have heard that children can climb trees. So such a thing should be very simple, yes?
[...He's absolutely muttering to himself as he looks up at that tree. This is what we're doing today, apparently.]
